Birth Announcement #3

I didn't even show her this one.

For Adults Only (R rated post)

Now that Eli is here, I have been forced to be more helpful around the house. One of the first tasks deligated to me was meal planning and grocery shopping (collective sympathy "ugh" appreciated). Today was my second adventure into shopping and I brought Jonah with me. We had to stop by the local mega pharmacy for a couple of scripts, and while sitting in the drive-thru Jonah asks me, "Dad, what does: "If you're going to ride my a**, at least you could pull my hair" mean?"
The woman in the truck in front of us had a very conspicuously placed sticker on the back window of her truck. I think she was from Wolf Lake.
Anyway, I want you to post how you would have answered that question from your 9 year old.

Another Oppressed Birth Announcement

I just don't know what she is looking for. If anyone out there understands women, give me a few hints.

For Grandma K

A request was made for some fresh Elijah video by the Detroit Grandma who is currently basking in the sun in Florida. What's this I hear about "No tan lines, Mom?"

Glo-Worm or Elijah?

Elijah's bili blanket is going back today. Monday was his last day needing it as he is less jaundice as he was before. Anyway, this is what it looked like.

Vetoed Birth Announcement

This is the first in what's sure to be a long list of birth announcements vetoed by the women in our house.

Home...but struggling

Hi all. Eli is doing good, except he has turned Asian (not that there's anything wrong with that), since we've been home. His bilirubin level is slowly rising. I have taken him to the lab 3 mornings in a row now. He goes to see his Dr. today. There is a slight chance he will be admitted for light therapy. He is nursing well and otherwise acting normally. I am not overly concerned and would try and talk the Dr. out of admitting him.

Also, Ben vomited several times last night and Andrew woke up with an infected fingernail today, and is going to the Dr. with Eli. Chris also took a trip to the lab yesterday to check for a UTI (negative).

We have lots of Thank you cards to get out. For now I am singleing a couple people out. We have gotten several meals prepared and delivered to us and are eating like kings. Our church (http://www.nebiblechurch.com/) is bringing a meal a day for a week. Lisa B. brought several meals when she came to stay with us. Michelle C. also brought a couple meals and some muffins we are still enjoying. It's so good to be part of the family of God. Chris's Mom has been drying our laundry as our dryer died the week before Eli was born and Sears forgot to deliver our dryer to our house. She has also been at our beckon call for many other things. Thank you all so much for the prayers, phone calls, and support.
See the pics of Eli with his two older brothers and Great Grandma and Grandpa Sheridan (his middle name, Leon, comes from him).

A Name Announced!

First many thanks to my Mom who is sleeping at the hospital with Chris and the baby, so I can sleep better at home and play on the computer. I talked on the phone with her last night and we named him: Elijah Leon. We'll call him Eli or Elijah. Leon is Chris's Grandpa Sheridan's name. We are honored to give our 4th son his name. Enjoy a short clip of the cutest baby of 2008!

He's Here!

At 9:57 this morning our 4th son was born. He weighed in at an even 8 pounds and is 20 inches long. After several hours of deliberation we finally named him..........................actually we haven't named him yet! We thought we had it and decided to sleep on it. Both "Him" and Mom are doing well. Tune in tomorrow for an update! As for now, you'll have to enjoy a couple pictures.
